Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American sportscaster. She works for ESPN and works as an SportsCenter News Anchor. The first time she worked for ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from the age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her land her first position as producer assistant at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next job was as a Sports Reporter at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. The couple stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer, where she had been offered the opportunity of a job. Antonietta is a senior in high school and knew exactly what career path she wanted to pursue. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the campus. The campus was stunning and offered the degree she sought. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU in which she's a member. They developed a close connection. He was the one who boosted her confidence and whose passion for journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she determined to meet his demands and never let him down.
